7 Elite Academy launches new Under-16s team

7 Elite Academy UK will launch a second Under-16s team in the Junior Premier League next season, as the organisation looks to continue its expansion.

Interested players can attend trials for the new team on Tuesday, 27th April at Jeffrey Humble Football Facility in Walton, from 5pm to 6pm.

7 Elite Academy runs training programs for thousands of players in the United Kingdom, United States and Africa, alongside education and career opportunities.

UK players at the 7 Elite Academy International Tournament 2019

In February 2020, players from Liverpool travelled to Las Vegas to play in – and win – the 7 Elite Academy International Tournament. A similar trip is planned for 2022.

Players benefit from an 11-month training program on 3G pitches alongside UEFA qualified and Premier League coaches, education support and analysis of all games.

Anthony Godfrey, President of 7 Elite Academy, said: “I am delighted that we are now in the position to launch a second team in the Junior Premier League.

“We have worked hard to make sure every player at 7 Elite Academy has the opportunity to maximize their potential and find a pathway for the future.

“We talk to Premier League academies on a regular basis to make sure our players are seen by scouts and invited to trials, with some getting the chance to sign forms.

“A number of our coaches hold the UEFA A License and have worked with some of the biggest clubs in world football. They have huge experience to pass on to players.

“But we’ve also worked on making sure our pathway includes opportunities to gain qualifications while training, coaching badges and even scholarships overseas.

“I can’t thank the Junior Premier League enough for its help in creating a new team and making sure we can play in one of the best junior leagues in the region.”

7 Elite Academy’s partnership with Coaching Connexions means youngsters can study for BTEC qualifications in Liverpool, while also training on a daily basis.

Anthony added: “Already, we’ve had students from the 7 Elite Academy / Coaching Connexions Program receive offers to study in the United States next year.

“We are expanding that program to make sure our Under-16 players get those same opportunities to secure a future in football and education.

“We also have a thriving partnership with AFC Liverpool to run the club’s Under-18s team, which offers youngsters yet another step towards senior football.

“All our games are recorded using VEO analysis, which gives us a chance to follow a player and make sure they receive a breakdown of their performance in all areas.”

7 Elite Academy UK players also receive an Adidas training kit pack, opportunities to player in showcase events and off-pitch workshops.
