7 Elite Academy’s Player Pathway partners – AFC Liverpool Under-18s – will play their FA Youth Cup tie against Cheadle Heath Nomads at the Marine Travel Arena on Tuesday, August 30th (7pm).

The Liverpool youngsters take on their Manchester counterparts in the Final Preliminary Round of the competition, which features Premier League sides from the third round stage. Tickets will be £3 for adults and £1 concessions / Under-18s.

The FA Youth Cup is the world’s most famous youth football competition, having launched the careers of some of the game’s very best professional players.

The Marine Travel Arena is the home ground of Marine FC, which famously played host to Premier League giants Tottenham Hotspur in an FA Cup tie in December 2020.

Chris Stirrup, Chairman of AFC Liverpool, said: “This is a very exciting stage of the season, as the FA Youth Cup is the traditional curtain-raiser for our Under-18s players.

“It will be a huge game for our youngsters, so it’s only right we stage it at the Marine Travel Arena. There is room for over 2,000 fans, so we’re looking forward to a big crowd, especially with Stephen Warnock here.”

7 Elite Academy runs teams and educational programs for youth players across the world, and operates AFC Liverpool’s youth team operation at Under-18 level.

Anthony Godfrey, Technical Director at 7 Elite Academy, added: “The FA Youth Cup is the world’s most famous youth football competition and this game is a great opportunity for the players.

“The Marine Travel Arena is a great facility and will provide a further insight into senior football for these lads. Alongside our global development plan, this is another opportunity for the players.

“This is also great for younger teams at 7 Elite Academy to see what their potential pathway with us looks like in the future.

“Some of the current players will be pushing for first team places with AFC Liverpool soon and some still definitely have the ability to still chase potential professional football as well.

“This tournament can be very good platform for those players to showcase themselves for these opportunities.”
