7 Elite Academy UK’s players returned to action with tournaments and training sessions in Liverpool after the lockdown on grassroots football was lifted.
The club’s Under-15s players trained for the first time in three months on Monday, ahead of an Invitational Tournament later in the week.
Under-13s players, meanwhile, also trained and held an Invitational Tournament on Tuesday, ahead of further events next week.
The events also include college insight days at the 7 Elite Academy / Coaching Connexions Programme, as well as community skills sessions.
“Being in a position to get them back with us now, getting them back to doing everything they love means a lot to 7 Elite Academy.
“The social aspect of football is something you can never get away from. No matter what we think about how a game is going, the social aspect is most important.
“We want to instill a love for the game in the players, the parents and of course in ourselves as coaches.”
Training sessions will now resume in Liverpool, as will league matches for all age groups.
